International Journal of Economic Plants, a peer-reviewed international quarterly publication, focuses widely on original knowledge and research on the native plants for human use, social life and customs. It aims on recovery of ethnic knowledge related to biota, native wild and unutilized crop species; grossly not only to recover economic plants for various human and animal uses, but also suggest research lines. The area of the journal broadly covers on forestry and allied sciences and their utilities; wood anatomy, paper pulp, fibre and allied fibres, textile technology, medicinal plant chemistry, pharmacognosy, pharmacology, economic fungus, mushroom, vegetable and horticultural crops etc. It depicts the rich relationship between plants and people encompassing the potential utilities of plants in relevance to environmental and public health policies, inter-disciplinary research strategy globally.
How Does a Manuscript Undergo Editing Process ?
After successful submission of manuscript by author, the manuscript is first sent to the English editor. The English editor checks the journal format, typographical mistakes. The editor is very much concerned with the data processing format and relevant details. This time taken by initial reviewing process depends on the level of accuracy followed by author in compliance with the journal format. We strongly suggest author to go through carefully on the Instruction of Authors for each journal download the published.
The article with comments (if any) by English editor is sent to author for further revision. After fulfilling comments by the English editor, author resend (upload) the manuscript to journal administrator. It is then automatically sent to blind subject experts whose responsibility is to thoroughly check the depth of the subject. Separate query tables are given in manuscript itself where both English editor and subject experts note down their comments. In addition, editors can comment via online form also.
Article after necessary editing and upon satisfactory remarks from Chief editor, the corresponding author receives acceptance letter. The revised manuscript is then sent to Design house for galley proof making. Upon satisfactory correction from the author, article is published.
Time taken from submission to release depends on the time taken by author and reviewing team. With the high inflow of articles for journals, the reviewing process may be delayed little than normal time. You can read article history to understand the average processing time.
